Lizzie Arnot turned on the style as Rangers smash fourth placed Spartans 5-0 in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.

Arnot (17 pen), a Becky Galbraith own goal (25), Zoe Ness (43) Chelsea Cornet (53) and Bala Devi (90) were on the scoresheet as the Gers put in one of their best performances of the campaign.

Malky Thomson brought in both Nicola Docherty and Clare Gemmell to the side, replacing both Daine Bourma and Rachel McLauchlan.

SWPL top scorer Arnot opened the scoring after 17 minutes, placing home from the penalty spot after Emma Brownlie was fouled in the area, and Arnot would help double the lead shortly after as her shot cannoned off the bar and over the line via an unlucky Becky Galbraith.

Ness would tap home from close range after Arnot's curling effort wasn't held by Yates in the Spartans goal, before the former Manchester United star grabbed her third assist to tee-up Cornet for the fourth.

It was Devi who would seal goal of the game though, smashing home a 30 yard drive with second left on the clock to seal an impressive win ahead of next week's Old Firm clash at the Rangers Training Centre
