Sandy Jardine appeared to glide effortlessly across the grass when he was rampaging forward with the ball, eager to support his forwards. Of course, going forward wasn’t alien to him as he’d started out as an attacking midfielder and occasional centre-forward. But we remember him best as a right-back, with the goal he scored against Celtic in the 1979 Drybrough Cup final - when running the length of the Hampden pitch - a particular highlight. And then, of course, he led the protest march to Hampden in 2012, and endeared himself to a new generation of supporters. A Rangers great.Sandy Jardine - A Rangers Great
