Rangers got back to winning ways against Hearts with a 4-0 win at home. Goals from Lizzie Arnot, Zoe Ness and Sonia sealed a convincing win and an important three points for the Gers.

The goals got started just nine minutes in, Zoe Ness tapped home a well-placed cross from Brogan Hay. With an early goal, Rangers could now settle.

Two minutes from the first, it was Lizzie Arnot’s turn to get her name on the scoresheet. Again, Brogan Hay was at the forefront of the play. Hearts switched off for a second, and it was enough time for Arnot to double their lead.

As expected, Rangers kept piling on the pressure in a bid to hand their opponents a goal-scoring frenzy. Hearts sat back and let the play come on to them and kept their back-line tight. There was plenty of patient passing waiting for that third goal to come.

Thirty minutes past and the score-line finally read three. Sam Kerr was at the heart of the play this time round and managed to assist Arnot’s second goal of the night. With a finessed right-footed hit, Rangers were now gearing comfortably towards the three points.

Half-time passed and we were back underway, again, Rangers hunting down their next goal. Hearts did well to absorb the pressure, but eventually it became too much.

Super-sub Sonia O’Neil came on and made an instant impact, by scoring on the 64th minute after a scramble in the box. Despite the goals against her, Parker-Smith kept the Light Blue’s from tallying up more goals.

The game eventually slowed down, and the final whistle blew.

Rangers now sit second in the league table - one point above Celtic.
