A relentless performance gave Malky Thomson's side a resounding 11-0 win over Forfar Farmington this afternoon, as Rangers Women returned to winning ways at the Rangers Training Centre.

Goals from Lizzie Arnot (8, 45+3), Zoe Ness (10, 47), Sam Kerr (30, 44, 68), Brogan Hay (41, 42), Sonia O’Neill (78), Clare Gemmell (80) handed the Blue Belles their biggest victory of the season.

Rangers made three changes from the midweek defeat to Celtic, goalkeeper Megan Cunningham replaced fellow Scotland international Jenna Fife in the nets, while Chelsea Cornet and Zoe Ness replaced Emma Bronwlie and the injured Kirsty Howat respectively.

It was free scoring Arnot that would open the floodgates, tapping home Hay's pinpoint cross. The Gers would double their lead shortly afterwards through the returning Ness, the striker connecting perfectly with Nicola Docherty’s left wing cross.

Thomson’s side would put the result beyond doubt within the half hour mark when Kerr finished off a lovely one two with Ness to put Gers 3-0 up.

The outstanding Hay grabbed a quick fire double five minutes before half time, and Kerr  scored the sixth in first half injury time with a 20-yard drive. Arnot added a seventh when she stepped up to place her a perfect penalty in the final second of the half.

Ness scored goal of the day in the opening throws of the second period, as her long range strike flew into the top corner before Kerr completed her hat trick with a sublime finish.

It Venezuelan international O’Neill who would make it double figures as she tapped home from close range, before Gemmell's deflected shot wrong footed Lauren Perry to complete the scoring.
