Nathan Young-Coombes to West Ham?

With the news that Nathan is close to leaving Rangers I thought it would be a good time to look back on his short career at the club.

The first time I saw Nathan in action was against Rapid Vienna on a cold December afternoon where he came on late in the match as a trialist, Rangers went on to win 4-2 after falling behind 2-0. 16 year old Nathan Young-Coombes officially signed for the club on the 1st February 2019 on a two & half year contract which was deemed as a bit of a coup for the club at the time.

Nathan has gone on to play under 18 & development football during his time at the club. Overall he has done very well, scoring the winning goal against Celtic in the Scottish Youth Cup Final. He also scored two important goals in Bratislava which sent Rangers through to the next round of the UEFA Youth League where Atletico Madrid eventually knocked the club out of the competition.

Nathan has also represented England at youth level during his time at Rangers with him bagging a goal against Germany in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

With Nathan coming into the last year of his contract he had a decision to make regarding his future & it now appears as though he will be heading back to London to sign for West Ham United which is another step in his development & I would like to wish him all the best for the future.
