12/5/21

It’s our last away game of the season on Wednesday night, 12 wins and 5 draws has been a pretty impressive run but we all know the Toni Macaroni is a tough place to go and get a result.

Livingston could still claim fourth place if results go their way in the next few games, which means that they will be throwing the kitchen sink at Steven Gerrard’s team on Wednesday night.

Steven Gerrard confirmed in today’s press conference that Borna Barisic is out as well as Leon Balogun and Filip Helander, who will not make it back for our last two fixtures. Gerrard also confirmed that Scott Arfield is back on the pitch and will hopefully be involved for Saturday. There is also some good news with Nikola Katic, who is now back from Croatia and Ryan Jack, who had a successful operation last week and is now on the road to recovery.

Rangers are on course to finishing the season unbeaten as well as reaching 100+ points, the closest we’ve been to doing that was in 2002/03 when we reached 97 points under Alex McLeish.

The home side hasn’t won since the start of April, where they beat Raith Rovers after extra time in the Scottish Cup. You would have to look further back for their last league win, with that coming in mid-March against Hamilton.

Let’s hope for another three points, an entertaining display and a new Alfredo Morelos celebration, what do you think is next from wee Alfie?
