Aberdeen vs Rangers has always been a fiery tie. The history between both clubs adds to the battle on the pitch, which support from each side demanding to get on over each other.

This fixture spans way back to January 1905 with Rangers travelling to Aberdeen to play out a 1-1 draw. Rangers went on to win the next four matches against Aberdeen, with the Dons finally beating their Glasgow rivals in January 1911.

Aberdeen and Rangers have met each other 344 times over all competitions, with 279 of these being played out in league matches. Rangers have been victorious in the majority of meetings between these clubs, 49% of the meetings in fact (169 wins in total), compared to Aberdeen's 25% (85 wins in total).

Rangers have drawn the last two games at Pittodrie, you would have go back to February 2019 for their last win there. In the last 10 games Rangers have visited Pittodrie they have only won 4 times. The last time Aberdeen beat Rangers at home was in October 2018, in the Scottish League Cup.

Steven Gerrard has managed Rangers in the last 6 games against Aberdeen, only winning once. Gerrard side have found it tough to break down the Dons over the last couple of years, drawing with them twice and losing three times.

There is no doubt that Saturday's game will be a thrilling affair. Both teams are encountering issues in their forward areas with Cosgrove possibly out for the calendar year and Morelos looking set to move to France.

The question is, who is going to come out on top?
